
Professor Abdelfattah Badr, from Helwan University in Egypt, will share his new research on genetically engineered maize that adapts better to climate change. His research is titled; Plant Genetic Resources and their Role in Adapting to Climate Change.
We will discuss the meaning of genetic resources and crop domestication, international concerns, conservation and management, the causes, effects and plants' adaptation to climate change, how genetic resource utilization supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals as well as the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) studies and recommendations.
