Did you know that Lake Manyara Tilapia previously accounted for 73.6% of the total catch, but has shrunk from 5,000 km2 to 1800 km2 in recent decades? Do you also know that it is now listed as an endangered species by the IUCN 2006 Report?

In this session, Dr. Faith Mpondo and Daniel Mpondo will enlighten us on the factors contributing to its dwindling population and the restoration efforts thus far.
